We're bringing together sisters from all over the world for a structured, supported, and spiritually nourishing journey through one of the most beloved surahs in the Quran — one verse at a time.

The journey through the surah

Surah Maryam is a surah of mercy, of dua answered against all odds, of women who stood firm, and of prophets who never gave up. As you memorise each section, you'll understand why Allah placed these stories side by side.

We cover the surah in five thematic blocks:

  • Zakariyya & Yahya · verses 1–15

  • Maryam & ʿIsa (as) · verses 16–40

  • Ibrahim, Musa, Ismail & Idris · verses 41–58

  • The generations that lost the way · verses 59–80

  • The hereafter & the truth of Ar-Rahman · verses 81–98

How it works

We memorise together at a gentle pace (just one verse per day!) starting 16 August 2026. Before each new section begins, we gather on Zoom for a tafsir circle, so you always understand the meaning before committing the words to memory. At the end of each section, we come together to test each other in a warm, encouraging environment.

What to expect

  • One verse per day (around 30 minutes of personal practice)

  • 5 live tafsir sessions on Zoom, led on select Sundays

  • 5 group tests on select Saturdays — paired with other sisters

  • A completion celebration in December, insha'Allah!
